moreĬlean Slate (Diva's Ink #2) was the first book I have had the pleasure of reading by this author. The constant surprises, twists and turns in the book kept me engrossed from beginning to end, and there were just enough hints about what is coming next, that I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!. I loved seeing strong women taking a lead in this book, and Emory was definitely a strong woman! Even when she was down, and unsure about where her life was going, she still had the strength to think of others in her life, and what she thought was best for them. And don't forget, plenty of bad boys! This book was a refreshing spin on the same old romance story! I loved seeing how family played such a strong part in this book. There is suspense, drama, bad guys and good guys. This book has everything that I look for in a good romance. He reminds her what being in a relationship means, and that he is there for her. Marcus is a firefighter, former military, and won't let her get away with pushing him out. She is trying to be strong and stand on her own, but she is forgetting that family stands together, helping each other, regardless of the situation. However, Emory has a secret, and it's causing her to push everyone, including Marcus, away. They are already together, and already have strong feelings for each other. This is book 2 in the Diva's Ink series, by Liberty Parker, and as much as I enjoyed book 1, I loved Clean Slate even more! It focuses on Emory, (the middle sister) and Marcus.Įmory and Marcus are already in an established relationship, at the beginning of this book, so you aren't getting all of the angsty, trying to stay away from each other, trying not to get involved stuff you usually get in a typical romance novel. Can’t wait to read Rainey’s storyas she will round out the trio of sisters. I love the characters and the way they interact with one another especially with the littlest ones, to precious. The characters pop with action throughout the whole story. There is no lag in the energy of this book, it keeps you glued to the ages and keeps you intrigued from beginning to end.
Such amazing strengths in these sisters and their chosen mates! I really enjoyed this addition to the series, the storyline was intense both emotionally and action wise. #2 in the Diva’s Ink Series, Clean Slate continues the saga of these amazing Sisters. Will Emory’s news bring them closer or tear them apart? And can Ariel and Rainey handle not knowing what’s happening? Or will Emory wipe it all away and give herself a…clean slate. When he follows her one day, he finds out the reason behind her reticence to take their relationship to the next level. But lately, Emory has been distant and pushing him away. Marcus Thompson, a local firefighter, has had Emory in his sights for a long time now and when they finally begin dating, he thinks his life is complete. A long-standing admiration for one another has turned into something more…maybe love? Helping people find the thing that will allow them to show their artistic side makes her smile.
